What with W's stepfather now in his last months
after a steep decline while in CA—his situation has W thinking about life,
etc. Well, there’s even more reason to be philosophical – an aunt died
recently and, W's cousin and her two young daughters somehow survived a
horrific accident in Santa Barbara County in which a truck hit their car near a bridge (story on Google). Miracles like theirs are truly special – W and C are still most incredibly amazed….
January has been Israel's rainiest ever -- rain on
29 of the 31 days...finally the sun shone yesterday. And yes, Israel does need rain!
Rafa lost an incredible, almost 6 hour match in
the Australian Open Final—what a match!!!!
This is not the kind of start to 2012 W had
envisaged—yet, life is like a sine curve, what goes down must come up….at some
point!
