Israel needs rain....
From today's Haaretz:
Downpour drowns Tel Aviv streets Yesterday afternoon's
downpours led to the flooding of streets in north Tel Aviv, blocking
roads, disrupting flights at Sde Dov airport and creating huge puddles
at the entrance to Tel Aviv University. According to the Meteo-Tech
meteorology service, 45 mm. of rain fell on Tel Aviv within two hours.
"The drainage system can't cope with such an exceptional amount of rain
in such a short time," the municipality said yesterday. "In cases of
flooding, the municipality responded immediately to calls from
residents."
